Do you have the grand/children around for the summer holidays? Looking for something to do with them? Why not encourage them to join in our summer holidays competition?
What do the boat builders need to do?
Make a boat or ship out of any modelling equipment to create a 3D model. For example, you could use…
Things from the recycling – make sure they are clean before you use them
- Plasticine or similar modelling material
- Balsa wood
- Straws
- Paper
..the choice is yours. The only limit is your imagination.
The competition will be judged on:
Overall design and look of the vessel
Attention to detail (what little things have been added to make this the best boat to be aboard – feel free to tell us what you have added.
Effort put into the model (this doesn’t mean it has to be perfect, we do want it to be 99% the child’s work)
To enter the competition
Age group 3-6 year olds
Name your vessel and send a photo and/or a video of it to us via families@thewellingtontrust.org
Age group 7-11 year olds
Name your vessel and send a photo and/or a video of it AND a brief description of what it is like inside the vessel in no more than 200 words to us via families@thewellingtontrust.org
Remember
to include with the entry the child’s name (first name only) and an adult’s email address, through which we can contact you. In line with our safeguarding procedures all correspondence will be through an adult. Up to 4 photos can be sent, and a max 1-minute video should you wish.
