A Level Maths

Log in and get learning

via HQS Wellington’s remote learning platform and all

Don’t let your students go ‘off the boil’, keep them challenged and learning

whilst we all get through these strange times

HQS Wellington is a WWII sloop ship that now stands at Temple Stairs, London. Although she is currently closed to visitors, due to the government health guide lines we can still offer you access to our FREE A level maths resource.

What is this?

Our A-level sessions are designed to engage and challenge maths students through online investigations. All activities are linked to the A level exam syllabi and there are opportunities for the students to apply their learning to a maritime context.

What do the students do?

The students just log in via a password and get started.

Students will be introduced to the topic area via a video; this provides the teaching so even if the students haven’t covered the subject in class, they have the necessary support.

They can complete one or all of the subject areas over the coming weeks. See table below for curriculum subject areas covered

See the platform introduction on Youtube

Due to the unprecedented situation there is currently no time limit on access to the platform.

How do I see the results?

It is possible for each password login to be monitored, or you can allow students to record their own score.

How do I access the passwords?

Please contact edo@thewellingtontrust.org to let us know how many passwords you need. We would currently recommend one per student.

You will be sent the passwords which can then be distributed to your students. They then simply log in and get started.

We look forward to hearing from you.
