The Trust

WELLINGTON, like the anecdotes about the Forth Road Bridge, needs maintaining and preserving every single day and the ship’s engineers’ full schedule keeps this almost 90-year old ship ‘ship shape’.

Our popular Learning Programmes, free to schools on application, operate during the school terms and provide young people with an experience onboard the ship with sessions tied to the National Curriculum.  Our floating classroom, covers Primary, Secondary and STEM subjects using the ship as a catalyst to bring classroom theory to life.  Our professional educators include Members of the Honourable Company of Master Mariners, whose vast and fascinating experiences at sea, brings an extra dimension to our sessions.  We continually update these sessions, and now we can use  our Immersive Interactive Experience for all the family to enliven these sessions even more – learning is fun on WELLINGTON.
